What is insulating tubing and what is it used for?

What materials are used to make insulating tubing?

PVC insulating tubing
The BIS 85 and BIS 105 PVC insulating tubing products are cost-effective electrical insulating tubing used in the electrical industry, cable assembly, equipment manufacturing and vehicle construction. The BIS 105 UL PVC sleeving is approved to UL 224 and is supplied in sizes based on AWG (American Wire Gauge).
BIS PUR polyurethane insulating tubing is highly flexible and offers excellent protection at operating temperatures of up to +125°C. It is frequently used in industrial applications.
The halogen-free BIS SI silicone insulating tubing is ideally suited to demanding applications thanks to its excellent insulating properties and high temperature resistance up to +200°C. The flexible BIS SI UL silicone tubing is also approved to UL 224. Silicone foam tubing, which has particularly low thermal conductivity, is also available.
PTFE insulating tubing
PTFE insulating tubing is extruded from high-quality polytetrafluoroethylene. It is particularly resistant to high temperatures of up to +260°C and corrosive media.
