Much has changed since BIT was founded back in 1996:
From its admittedly idiosyncratic start in a humble pair of office trailers, BIT Bierther GmbH has grown sustainably over the years into a flourishing business. Major stepping stones in this transformation from bit player to central BIT include a move to a brand-new warehouse-and-office annex and the setup of custom production lines.
Another significant milestone in our company history is certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001. We were first awarded this certification in 1997 and 2000 for outstanding quality management by the German Technische Überwachungsverein (TÜV), a semi-public quality-control and certification clearing house acting on behalf of European Union agencies and the national government.
In conjunction with such breakthroughs, our continuing dedication to investing in new technologies and to optimizing our company infrastructure has allowed us to achieve a consistently high degree of customer satisfaction.
At the start of the year, it was time to move on – in this case, to a new office and production facility. Above all, this has effectively meant that we now have much more space available both for storage and production.
Opening up a second central warehouse marks the beginning of a new phase in BIT’s plans for future commercial growth.
With more than 17 years of experience in the industry, an expertly honed product portfolio and a track record of providing superior customer service, BIT is well-positioned for future expansion.

BIT Bierther GmbH is now a 20-year success story. Since its formation 1996, the company has not only grown into a leading supplier of shrinkable synthetic parts, but also of protective and insulating sleeves.
Today, BIT parts and products are used worldwide by major companies in numerous areas of entrepreneurial endeavor from the automotive industry to the medtech sector.
What started 20 years ago as a small team is now a company with global reach. Headed by founder and managing director Frank Bierther, our 25 employees look toward the challenges and opportunities of the next 20 years with great confidence – always ready to add another chapter to our company’s success story.
In July 2019, the TÜV Rheinland reviewed our quality management processes and workflows as part of the standard DIN EN ISO 9001 certification process. Again, we passed recertification with flying colors.
We feel this only goes to confirm how well our customer-oriented, quality-conscious business approach works. For our clients and customers, such best practices mean maximum efficiency, reliability and transparency topped off by exceptional service.
When Mr. Frank Bierther founded his company on June 3, 1996, he laid the foundation for the today’s success of the BIT Bierther GmbH. Since these days the BIT has continuously developed to become an epitome for quality, reliability and customer service.
