Our heat-shrink tubing covers a broad spectrum of diameters, wall thicknesses and shrink ratios – from thin-walled, flexible polyolefin heat-shrink tubing and medium-walled types to thick-walled heat-shrink tubing with adhesive. Each product page shows the complete size table with the diameter before and after shrinking, the wall thickness and the packaging unit.

How to choose the right size

• Diameter before shrinking (as supplied): must be larger than the thickest point of your object – otherwise the tubing cannot be slid on.
• Diameter after shrinking: must be smaller than the thinnest point – only then will the tubing fit tightly everywhere after heating.
• Shrink ratio (2:1, 3:1, 4:1 up to 6:1): the greater the difference between the thickest and thinnest point, for example at connectors or cable transitions, the higher it should be.
• Wall thickness: determines the mechanical protection – thin-walled for flexible insulation, thick-walled for high loads.
