What is heat-shrink tubing with adhesive?
Heat-shrink tubing with adhesive is a thermoplastic tube with an inner hot-melt adhesive layer. When heated, the tubing shrinks and the adhesive creates a moisture-tight, mechanically stable connection.
When is heat-shrink tubing with adhesive used?
Wherever electrical connections need to be permanently protected, insulated or sealed – for example in automotive engineering, industry or outdoors.
Are there different shrink ratios?
Yes. We offer heat-shrink tubing with adhesive with ratios of 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 and even 6:1 – depending on the requirements and the difference in diameter.
Is the heat-shrink tubing UV- or temperature-resistant?
Many versions such as BPMW A or BPTW A are UV-resistant. BPDW HT is temperature-resistant up to +150 °C.
