Orange heat-shrink tubing

Orange heat-shrink tubing is used for a variety of purposes, including the insulation and protection of electrical wires and connections, as well as for marking and identifying cables and wires.

Some specific applications for orange heat-shrink tubing are:

• HV marking of cables and wires in electric vehicles: The colour orange is used, particularly in electric vehicles, to mark live components operating at higher voltages. We can also supply various types of heat-shrink tubing in the frequently required shade of orange, RAL 2003. Why are cables marked in Orange RAL 2003? This colour is increasingly used in electric vehicles to identify live cables or components for high-voltage applications. The high-visibility colour RAL 2003 is intended to alert mechanics and emergency services to the potential risk of electric shock.
• For marking warning signs: Orange heat-shrink tubing can be used to mark cables or wires associated with warning signs, e.g. for electrical or hazardous applications.
• For marking high-voltage power lines: Orange heat-shrink tubing can also be used to mark high-voltage power lines in order to improve visibility and safety.
• For insulating electrical connections: Orange heat-shrink tubing can also be used to insulate and protect electrical connections.
• For identifying cables: To distinguish between different cables and wires and to colour-code them, e.g. for audio or video applications.
