What is PVC heat-shrink tubing?

PVC heat-shrink tubing is a thin-walled, cost-effective material with good electrical and mechanical properties. When this very thin-walled rigid PVC material is exposed to a temperature above +80°C for a few seconds, it shrinks quickly and evenly, moulding itself to the shape of the object it is covering.

PVC heat-shrink tubing is available in flat widths ranging from 6.5 mm to 400 mm. Wall thicknesses can be selected from 0.05 mm to 0.20 mm. The standard colours are white, black and transparent. Many other colours are available and can be produced.
